Survivors know it as "The Disaster", though at the time it was simply called "the disease". The symptoms were similar to those of the flu, plus a bit of paranoia. And of course all of the infected could be identified by the bite marks. Spread by saliva and blood, the disease has a 100% mortality rate with about 80% of infected rising again 24 hours after death. Once risen, their only goal is a meal. A meal of a living human. They don't feel pain, they don't think, and they are always hungry. Hundreds survived out of the millions, maybe billions. Nobody knows if the disease spread between countries. A number of these survivors reside in or around the city of Tempestate, and though the supermarket was the first place to be looted, some food still remains in gas stations and smaller shops. Undead lurk around every corner, and so do fellow survivors who are more than willing to kill you for your supplies. And what will happen when the shops and gas stations run out of food to be scavenged?
